Originally a wasteland area, Birch Avenue, Coney Hill, was mainly used as a fly-tipping area. Since then we have been able to turn it around, bringing the area 9 high-quality affordable homes.
The Birch Avenue development consisted of 9 bungalows/ houses to be built for Gloucester City Homes. These homes were part of the social housing scheme, which consisted of:
- 8 x two-bedroom bungalows
- 1 x four bedroom semi-detached house
In honour of the previous Housing Manager at Gloucester City Council who sadly passed away in 2011, the site’s been called Norman Thomas Walk after him.
Work started in January 2016 and finally came to completion in December 2016.
