Aqua Construction founded in the year 2000 by the current Managing Director, is a small but successful, award-winning contracting Company specialising in the delivery of individual houses to medium size developments, working with both private clients and registered providers of social housing.

We are proud of the high-quality homes we build in and around Gloucestershire and seek an honest, reliable and hardworking Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established highly skilled team.

The Role: To undertake the following:
  • Estimate material quantities, costs, labour and time for new projects.
  • Undertake feasibility studies / project assessment in respect of above.
  • Prepare tender and contract enquiries / documents – this can include bills of quantities / schedules of work for the business and professional appointments as required.
  • Assign work to subcontractors – overseeing their work at all stages,  from enquiry to agreement of final account.
  • Perform risk and value management, and cost control, pre-construction & during a project.
  • Assist the team in tendering and procurement of new works.
  • Ensure projects meet legal, regulatory and quality standards.
  • Maintain awareness of current Building Regulations as well as health and safety regulations
  • Make sure the business gets value for money on the project.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to our clients.
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal / external team members.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary.
Skills:

Good numeracy, IT and the ability to control and monitor budget, as well an aptitude for understanding the latest building regulations.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a surveyor in the residential or civils sector in new build housing, contracting and development.

Must have but not limited to:

  • A construction related qualification / relevant experience
  • Good IT, numeracy and literacy skills
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations
  • Hold a full driving licence
