Our mission is to build upon and further develop the business foundation based on traditional values and a family culture whilst delivering new homes to local communities and creating sustained career opportunities for our employees.

Aqua Construction is a family-owned construction company based in Gloucester providing modern construction services to the housing sector built on traditional values. We recognise the need to grow and make investment for the future to support the continued growth of this family business.

Whether an open market scheme project for developers, an affordable housing scheme for registered social providers or a design and build for private clients, all our projects are led internally and built to the highest standards with innovation and quality of design at the forefront.

We work collaboratively in partnerships that strive to deliver a dynamic, seamless and trusted construction service whilst working closely with our clients, consultants and our communities. Our goal is to provide a professional service delivering a high-quality built product for our clients whilst capitalising on the ever-increasing housing demand across Gloucestershire.

We are one of the county’s leading businesses in implementing housing regeneration schemes, through Framework Agreements with local authorities and schemes with Homes England. We work in collaboration with local authorities, registered social housing providers, planning consultants and developers to bring a cohesive, one-stop-shop approach to our projects.

Jason Wasley, managing director, started out 27 years ago with £500 in his pocket, a bricklayer’s trowel and an escort van! An admirable example of a ‘bootstrapping company’ and founder who has self-funded and grown the company to be a successful SME. Two second generation members of the family have joined the business, one as an apprentice and the other joining the groundworks team, both providing continuity for the future.

Supporting Worthwhile Campaigns

We actively support a range of local and national campaigns that promote wellbeing, equality and community engagement. These include:

These initiatives encourage our team to engage with important causes while helping to foster an inclusive, supportive workplace.

Sustainability

We build sustainable homes and have applied these values to our own HQ in Quedgeley.

Last year we installed PV solar panels on the office building with battery storage and back up, and through self-generated electricity we have reduced our energy bills by 50%. We have also invested in new IT and computer software for performance gains.

We take pride to build sustainable homes, using modern methods of construction; even our HQ is powered by PV and our fleet of electric vehicles increases year on year.

Partnerships

A key factor in Aqua Construction’s success has been through the established good working relationship with Gloucestershire Building Control Partnership developed over several years on several projects. The strength and depth of this relationship have delivered successful outcomes on challenging projects.

Investing in Local Communities

Every project presents an opportunity to strengthen the communities we work within. By collaborating with local authorities, housing providers, education establishments and community organisations, we help deliver projects that provide lasting social and economic benefits.

Wherever possible, we employ local people, work with regional suppliers and support businesses throughout our supply chain, ensuring investment remains within the local economy.

In 2025, we handed over 84 houses with a further 55 for completion this summer and estimate this reached over 500 families.
