St Peters Road was previously an underutilised garage site in Matson. This is 1 of 5 developments under contract with Gloucester City Homes. It marks the 1st phase to build more affordable housing in Gloucester in partnership with GCH. In this phase, we built a total of 33 new affordable homes with more to follow.
St Peters Road serves as an exemplary project for the style of development GCH would like to portray. To set it as a precedent for future developments in Gloucester is their aim. After becoming a social landlord in 2015 they made a promise to build the much-needed affordable housing for the residents of Gloucester. These new affordable homes will help to alleviate the growing housing need, through maximising the different sites’ potentials and developing underutilised areas.
This development consists of:
- 2 x one-bedroom flats
- 2 x two-bedroom houses
- 1 x one-bedroom house
It was the design teams aim to produce a crisp, clean and individual development whilst still sensitively responding to the neighbouring buildings. This was achieved through the use of red bricks, white render, and tiled roofs.
This development started in late 2015 early 2016 and was completed and handed over to Gloucester City Homes on time on July 22nd, 2016.
