What We Do!

As an established, award-winning building and construction firm in Gloucestershire, we bring over 20 years of experience to design and build projects across both public and private sectors.

Whether an open market development for developers, an affordable housing scheme for registered providers or a design and build for private clients, all our projects are consultancy-led and built to the highest standards with innovation and design at the forefront.

From breakthrough land acquisitions to planning permission, then design and build, we manage the complete building project for housing associations, private firms, and clients with professionalism, giving peace of mind, attention to detail, a careful eye on budget, and within agreed timescales.

Our team has a wealth of experience in dealing with land acquisitions which range from bespoke schemes to significant urban programmes for multiple new homes. Our specialists can deal with the complexities of immediate and strategic, urban and brownfield housing-led regeneration schemes, plus the contracts, regulations and funding provisions which go hand in hand.

We are experienced in regeneration schemes involving Framework Agreements with local authorities and funding schemes through Homes England. We collaborate with local authorities, registered providers and other developers which is key to delivering a cohesive approach to all our projects.

We can assist our clients by obtaining funding with Homes England, the government’s housing and regeneration agency, local authorities and LEPs. Our partnerships in the industry can also help point purchasers to successful Help to Buy schemes to achieve viable financial support.

At Aqua we believe that affordable, quality homes in well-designed locations are key to improving the lives of the community. To accelerate the pace of house building and regeneration across Gloucestershire, we are proud to construct homes in areas that people are proud to live in.

We prioritise client satisfaction and ensure stakeholders are informed during the whole process with regular updates. Each refurbishment or renovation is carried out with precision and care. We strive to surpass our client’s expectations to meet each requirement and timescale.

There are various ways to approach affordable housing, including renting from housing associations or councils at reduced rents, or a shared ownership scheme. For those who can’t afford to rent or buy a home on the open market, social housing provides a pathway.

Such construction projects usually come with the support of government funding.

In just the past five years we have proudly built well over 200 affordable and open-market homes in Gloucestershire for housing associations and private clients.

At Aqua we collaborate with leading county architects and specialists to deliver quality design and excellence, on budget and timescales, having forged long-standing relationships across Gloucestershire.

Keeping up to date with new industry developments is a priority. We are always expanding the skills and knowledge of our team using the latest high-standard tools and methods.

Adopting sustainable methods and technologies aims to minimise the impact of construction and newly built homes on the environment. This allows us to remain creative and innovative in our design schemes.

Today, Aqua employs 35 staff, ranging from senior management to groundworks apprentices, and an extensive network of sub-contractors. We have a long-standing workforce with 25% serving more than 10 years, 20% more than six years, 40% serving three to six years. We offer advanced training for employees to further their careers across all disciplines and seek to promote within when the opportunity arises. Our training and compliance practices ensure we keep up to date with industry regulations, sustainability, and modern methods of construction.

We value our employees; most have been with us from the very beginning. Trained to the highest standard with all the appropriate regulations and accreditations, our team is extremely dedicated, hardworking and considerate to our clients.

Proud of our company culture and high standards of organisational ethics, we ensure we support and use local supply chains in Gloucestershire, and particularly Gloucester, for our construction partners and material suppliers to keep the business and employment within the county.
